The Easy Lift CNC, a glass handling device especially suited for loading CNC processing centres that are closed at the top, has been developed by Bystronic technology centre Armatec.
Said to be the first handling device that can place the glass sheets directly into the machine bed, it offers ‘significant’ time savings when compared with standard loading methods.
Until recently, glass finishers loading this type of CNC processing centre have had to make use of an interstation, which is now no longer required thanks to the new vacuum lifting device.
The Easy-Lift-CNC is carried by a lightweight craneway system, which can also form part of the supply system or be integrated into an existing double bridge crane system. A standard 7 to 8 bar compressed air connection is sufficient for operation.
The Easy-Lift-CNC is suitable for glass sheets measuring 2.3 metres x 3.2 metres and up to 150kg.
