Saba Choudhury
London & Quadrant Housing Trust has promoted Saba Choudhury from regeneration manager to business strategy manager. Before she came to London & Quadrant, Choudhury worked at Metropolitan Housing Trust.

Paul Harris
Merseyside-based housing association Hornby Homes has appointed Paul Harris as its managing director. Hornby Homes recently joined with CDS Housing, where Harris was head of housing, to form the Plus Housing Group.

Colin Mitchell
Contractor Osborne has promoted Colin Mitchell to the position of divisional director in its homes division. Mitchell has been with Osborne for two years.

Juliet Rogers
Genesis Housing Group has appointed Juliet Rodgers as head of policy and performance. Rodgers joins from the Places for People Group, where she was London area manager.

George Rampat
George Rampat has joined Shaftesbury Housing Group as special projects manager. He joins from New Islington Housing Association.

Jim Bauld
Scottish social housing legal firm TC Young has recruited Jim Bauld as an associate. He previously worked for Legal Services, a law centre specialising in housing law.

Anglia Housing Group
Angela Firman joins Anglia as group secretary (operations) in a job sharing arrangement with Katherine Morgan, who will now be group secretary (projects). Firman joins from engineer Tex Holdings where she was company secretary. Dale Walker has been appointed head of asset management. Walker has nearly 20 years’ experience in the construction industry, and previously worked in the London office of construction consultant Baily Garner.

Nina Corcoran
Forum Housing Association founder Nina Corcoran has become its honorary president.

Peter Mills
Peter Mills has joined Notting Hill Housing Group as group director of human resources. Mills joins from Andersen Consulting.

Anna Evans
Oriel Housing Group has appointed Anna Evans to the post of Community Action Network project worker, a project providing free training. Evans previously worked as a support worker for Welsh charity Fair Play, an economic organisation for women.

Andy Darkin
Andy Darkin has stepped into the new role of group Sservices director for facilities management company Connaught. Andy Steele takes over Darkin’s previous job as managing director of property services.

“Make sure you research and keep up-to-date with housing issues and legislation, as it is a fast-moving sector. For every piece of legislation passed, there are a raft of practical implications for both housing providers and tenants.”

“Sailing down the Union Canal with sheltered housing residents and TV personality Fred MacAulay, who was filming a history of comedy and asking our residents what made them laugh in their youth.”

“Foreign correspondent with The Big Issue, to combine my interest in homelessness with my love of travel.”
What did you want to be when you were a child?
“A journalist.”
