Two Castles Housing Association
Two new directors have joined Two Castle Housing Association. It has appointed Gill Boyd finance director and Stephanie Murphy operations director. Boyd previously worked at Arena Housing Association while Murphy has been promoted from the position of regional housing manager.

Westminster Council
Mary Goyder has become director of corporate service at Westminster council and David Wickersham has become director of technical services.

Shelly Fowler
Surrey-based Aragon Housing Association has recruited Shelly Fowler as assistant development manager. Fowler previously worked for Midsummer Housing Association in Milton Keynes.

Jane McCall
Developer Maritime has announced the appointment of Jane McCall as its new director of regeneration and asset management. McCall joins from Muir Group Housing Association in Chester, where she was director of property services.

Tony Lee
The new director of national development at the Community Self Build Agency is Tony Lee. He joins from the Southern Housing Group.

Ian Christmas
Harlow council has appointed Ian Christmas as their new housing strategy manager. Christmas has spent the last two years at the council working on its Supporting People programme for Essex and Hertfordshire.

Osbourne
Simon Baddeley and Matthew Sturmer have been appointed as the two new directors to the maintenance division of contractor Osbourne. Both have been appointed internally.

Timothy Cook
London Catalyst has appointed a new chairman: Timothy Cook. Cook, who is a governor at the Peabody Trust, replaces Robin Holland-Martin, who stood down in November 2002.

St Vincent's
David Smith and Charlie Lynch have both joined St Vincent's Housing Association as customer services managers. Smith will be covering the area offices in Manchester and Bolton, while Lynch will focus on the Rochdale area.

Eric Summers
Foundation Housing has appointed Eric Summers as service director on a one-year secondment from Yorkshire Housing Group.

Celia Cashman
Sexual abuse survivors' organisation Safe Haven has taken on Celia Cashman as chief executive. She was previously a housing consultant.

Ian Young
The new head of housing services at Moorlands council is Ian Young. Before this, he was head of the private sector initiative unit for Stoke-on-Trent council.

Farooq Mohammed
Stonham Housing Association has appointed Farooq Mohammed as national maintenance manager. He joins from Network Housing Group where he was maintenance manager.

Sean King
Turnstone Support, part of the Parkside Housing Group, has appointed Sean King its new regional manager. He formerly worked for the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead.

“My last job was for Richmond Fellowship Workschemes, supporting people with mental health needs back into employment, education and social and recreational activities.”
How did you get there?
“This is my first experience of actually working for a housing organisation. I entered the support field when I left university and was looking for some hands-on experience. I volunteered for around four months at mental health drop-in centres around North Staffordshire. When I spotted the advertisement for my present job, I thought it would be a great opportunity to combine the roles and responsibilities of my previous jobs.”
Any advice for anyone moving into the sector?
“Don’t worry about the move, especially if it’s a move into unknown territory – they don’t bite! Turn the opportunity into an exciting challenge.”
Who is your role model?
“Round-the-world yachtswoman Ellen MacArthur.”
