Gary Kirk has been promoted to assistant director at Leicester Housing Association. He was formerly head of new business initiatives.

Dr Nicholas Miles
Dr Nicholas Miles has joined engineering firm Arup in London as an associate director. He has previously worked for the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank, the UN and central and local government in the UK, as well as private sector clients.

Richard Bramley
Anglia Housing Group has appointed Richard Bramley, formerly of the Government Office for the East of England, as a consultant. He was head of housing at Go-East for six years and retired in February.

Oriel Housing Group
Susan Adams has joined the business development department of Oriel Housing Group of Southampton as senior project manager. Adams joins Oriel from construction company Kier. And Clive Boorman has joined SH Services, the contracting arm of Oriel’s building services department, as a gas service and repair engineer. He previously worked for Willmott Dixon as a gas engineer.

East Midlands Housing
East Midlands Housing has appointed two regional housing managers. Barry Garner (left) is responsible for the association’s south and east areas, including Northampton and Leicester. Graeme Stewardson (left) will cover the north and west areas, which include Sutton in Ashfield and Coalville.

Shoab Akhtar
Shoab Akhtar has joined Manchester Methodist Housing Group as diversity officer. He was previously community development manager at Portico Housing Association.

Allyson White
Allyson White has been made tenant participation coordinator at Surrey Heath Housing Association, a new post. White has worked for the association for more than two years as housing assistant and housing officer.

Eight staff have joined Newcastle-based Nomad Housing Group.
