Name
Trevor West

New job
Regional operations director for the Midlands region with Hanover Housing Association

Old job
Head of operations for London and East Anglia with Anchor Trust

How did you get there?
“I’ve worked in housing since graduating. My first job was with Leeds council, then I worked for North British Housing Association, Network Housing Association and then back at NBHA before moving to Anchor four-and-a-half years ago.”

What’s taking up your time at the moment?
“The most important issue we’re all grappling with at the moment is Supporting People – introducing support plans, the quality assessment framework, contracts and funding issues. The list goes on and on.”

Favourite TV programmes
“Pop Idol and Big Brother – my guilty secret.”

Favourite film
“Dead Poets Society.”

Hobbies
“I’m involved with Look Ahead Housing and Care as a board member which I find interesting. When I have the time, I love the theatre, particularly Shakespeare and I enjoy horse-riding. I also try to do a bit of exercise, albeit reluctantly.”

Tell us something we don’t know
“I once met Pam St Clements, who plays Pat Butcher in EastEnders, at a wild party in north London – a sad life really, although I enjoyed it at the time!”
