Movers and shakers this week
Contractor
Midlands-based construction group Thomas Vale has made three appointments in its Stourport, Birmingham and Leicester offices. They are, respectively: Glen Schofield, director; Barry Sugrue, business development manager in charge of fit-out; and Richard Draper, business development manager for general construction.

Benson Group has made two promotions. Commercial manager Andy Fookes is now regional commercial director, and sales and marketing manager Geoff Reynolds becomes regional business development director.

Housebuilders
James Stirling has joined the planning team at Gleeson Homes North West, in the Haydock office.

He has previously worked for Wimpey and Westbury.

Harron Homes North West, based in Warrington, has made two appointments. Alan Cadman has been promoted to managing director of the North West division. Karl Wareing has been made construction manager.

Miller Homes has made two appointments to the management team of its recently launched southern region. Chris Weston joins as senior land manager and Chris Harrison will head up the technical department. Both are based at the company's new offices at Faraday Park in Basingstoke.

Consultants
Logistics specialist Wilson James has appointed Tony Palombo operations director for its construction and aviation services division. He joins the firm from Balfour Kilpatrick.

Middlesbrough-based cost consultant NAP Partnership has appointed two associates. Mike Noteyoung is promoted from his current role as team leader, and Keith Pipe is manager of the project support group.

Multidisciplinary consultant EC Harris has made Andy Ritchie partner. He will head up the Manchester division.

Sonia Rooney has been appointed sales co-ordinator at stainless steel supplier Neaco.
