Contractor

Sean Foley, formerly a regional construction director at Gleeson Building, has taken the post of construction director with London-based contractor Eugena.

Consultants

Capita Percy Thomas, the architectural division of Capita Symonds, has appointed Tim Hooper associate director and business development manager, based in its Cambridge office.

DLG Architects has recruited architect David Bailey to its Leeds office.

Human resources consultant Clare Roberts has joined independent management consultant Campbell Tickell as a senior associate consultant. Campbell Tickell provides consultancy for housing associations, councils, ALMOs, charities and government departments.

Construction and property consultancy Bucknall Austin has promoted Phil Higham to corporate director.

Vinay Patel has joined Tees Valley law firm Jacksons Construction & Private Law from the in-house legal team of the GXI Group in London.

Nick Hufton has been promoted to associate director at Shepheard Epstein Hunter Architects. He is responsible for the University of East Anglia and University of Liverpool library schemes.

Neil Beningfield has left CEMEX, where he was product development manager and divisional co-ordinator for mortar and screed, to form his own consultancy, Neil Beningfield and Associates, specialising in mortars and screeds

Institutions

The British Cement Association (BCA) is to change its chairman. Michael Lodge will be relinquishing the roleat the end of February 2006. His successor will be Jean-Francois Sautin, managing director of Lafarge Cement UK.

Peter Kingdon (left) has been appointed chairman of the Considerate Constructors Scheme. He takes over from David Hardy, who will remain as chief executive.
