Personal attack alarms

The EMS Group’s wire-free 3000 StaffPoint system has been added in one of London’s newest job centres to provide comprehensive staff protection and incident location facilities without the need for installing expensive cabling.

The system uses over 200 snatch cord pendants to offer personal attack protection and pinpoint location information for each staff member, wherever they’re situated in the building.

The StaffPoint pendants incorporate a dual transmission system that marries staff identification and location capabilities by means of optical technology with secure, site-wide radio communications.

Combining those technologies creates two benefits. First, the site-wide radio transmissions provide a secure back-up, ensuring that alarms are received.

Second, it readily allows all information components in the system to be interconnected without the need for cabling.
