An amendment to the Association of Chief Police Officers in Scotland (ACPOS) Security Systems Policy has been warmly received by the BSIA.
The change in policy regarding confirmation technology comes into effect on 1 April, and means that the technology will be required for all new alarm systems. The announcement follows consultation with the BSIA, the National security Inspectorate, the Security Systems Alarm Inspection Board, the Association of British Insurers, and the Scottish Police Service.
