Initial Electronic Security is restructuring its fire division and creating seven new senior sales positions across its whole business.

The fire division will merge its branch networks with Initial's security division, and will expand from its existing seven branches to take on a presence at each of the 37 security branches across the UK.

Initial already has experience within the fire sector, and is backed up by one of the industry's most advanced alarm receiving centres. (For more on fire installation, see our 'Fear of Fire' feature on page 40.)

The company's management appointments are headed up by new sales and marketing director, Derek Ward, who was previously involved in management consultancy and interim management, and was also sales director at ADT Fire and Security.

He is joined by new marketing manager Paul Hughes, and national fire sales manager Neil Shirley. The new senior sales management team will be completed by the appointment of four specialist regional sales managers.
