Changing over

  • The cut-off date for companies wishing to transfer their qa to the new standard ISO 9001: 2000 is the end of 2003
  • The new standard gives users the opportunity to add value to their activities and improve their performance continually by focusing on the major processes within the organisation
  • There is now greater focus on continual improvement and customer satisfaction
  • The new standard is modelled on the process-based structure of the Plan-Do-Check-Act improvement cycle
  • There is now less documentation required
