1,109 exhibitors came from 30 countries. The 10 country pavilions were from Austria, Canada, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, UK, USA, PR China and Taiwan. The exhibition area of the Chemicals and Raw Materials Zone covered 18,000m2, and over 900 machines were on display.
Some delegations also took this opportunity to visit plastic products factories nearby.
According to Mr Liao Zhengpin, President of China Plastics Processing Industry Association, China's plastics industry maintained a strong growth and witnessed a 12% growth in output of plastic products in 2004 despite sharp rise in the price of plastic raw materials.
