Chloride strengthens presence in Scotland

Chloride, one of Europe’s leading suppliers of uninterruptible power supply (UPS) systems and services, today announced that it has completed the acquisition of Malcolm Power Systems, which further strengthens Chloride’s presence in Scotland. Malcolm Power Systems has 20 years experience in supplying and maintaining UPS solutions across a variety of industries.

Malcolm Power Systems was founded in 1986 as a UPS and battery distributor for Chloride’s products. It provides service to a variety of organisations including police, hospitals, nuclear agencies and local authorities. With the acquisition, Chloride is able to further strengthen its presence in Scotland and offer improved services to its customer base.

“Malcolm Power Systems is an expert in Chloride products and boasts an enviable list of clients,” says Chloride UK’s managing director, Andrew Lowe. “We are delighted to have Malcolm Power Systems join the Chloride family and we feel that under the same organisation we will be able to better serve our customers in this growing market and address their power protection needs.”

“We have been dealing with Chloride products since our inception in 1986,” says Malcolm Power Systems’ partner Bill Malcolm. “We are delighted to be joining the Chloride family and will look forward to growing our customer base Scotland.”

“The Scottish market is showing solid growth and we have established a strong presence via the work of Malcolm Power Systems over the years. We will now look to carry on its success under the Chloride name,” adds Lowe.
