After a day of water bombs, mud missiles and hijackings in the Ironbridge to Bridgnorth Raft regatta, Chubb Locks Custodial Services raised over £1500 for charity.
The causes chosen to receive donations – New Cross Hospital's Neonatal Unit, and Bliss, a charity for premature babies – are close to the heart of the company, after a CLCS employee's daughter was born prematurely.
The event was very successful , with CLCS taking over four hours to complete the turbulent ten-mile course, ending up in 28th place - but happy with the result.
Chubb Locks Custodial services MD Steve Wood said: “We had a fantastic day at the Regatta, the crew was great, and we are delighted to have raised such a substantial amount of money for the charities. We owe a big thank you to everyone who contributed to making our involvement in the Regatta possible, and also to those who sponsored us.”
