More “serious concerns” have come to light about Clay’s Lane Housing Cooperative.
The co-op’s troubled relationship with the Housing Corporation deteriorated further this week when the corporation’s assistant chief executive, Bob Dinwiddy, wrote to all co-op members saying recent decisions by Clay’s Lane contravened the terms of the supervision it has been under for 15 years.

These included the appointment of three members of staff, payment of court fees, and the making of a redundancy payment – all without specific corporation approval, which has been required since March 2002.

The Housing Corporation declined to comment. Clay’s Lane representatives were unavailable for comment.
