The AIS chief executive on turning into his mother, listening to dubstep in the gym and using Twitter as displacement activity

David Frise

What is your favourite website?

BBC website takes some beating but also use Zite.com which learns my interests and selects articles for me.

What is your worst digital habit?

Letting email rule my life by stopping what I was doing to answer a query and thinking being on Twitter is work rather than displacement activity.

iPhone/Blackberry/Android. Which side are you on?

iPhone, but I miss the Blackberry when my iPhone impersonates a brick. Anything with the name “iPhone” should send and receive calls on a consistent basis.

Are you into social networking?

Yes, Twitter mainly – I find a lot of tech stuff is here, especially BIM related. I use LinkedIn less than I used to as I dislike the iPad app. Facebook is only for social groups.

If you are on Twitter, who do you recommend to follow?

@LeamingtonSBC Tim Pollard for everything from footie to renewables. @SuButcher because she knows about everything going on in construction. @CaseyRutland for BIM updates.

What is your favourite app?

Shazam music recognition app, as I’ve turned into my mother – “Play the song I like, you know the one…”

What is your preferred means of communication?

Face to face if we are in the pub. I’m ex Navy so learned to get the message over quickly - no time to ramble, therefore text is the perfect all round medium.

What did you last buy online?

My Spurs season ticket. Don’t even think about calling or visiting the ticket office.

PC or Mac?

Mac but suspect this is because I’m a slave to fashion.

Guilty pleasures: Most played tunes from iTunes/Spotify?

Muse for the tube journey although not exactly underground. Dubstep - Luca Lectro in the gym (much to my daughter’s amusement!).
