Construction professionals under 30 are being invited to sign up for the industry’s version of a reality TV talent competition – TeamBuild 2009.

Multidisciplinary teams of up to 6, drawing on construction, design, engineering, financial and project management expertise, must complete a prequalification task in October.

The nine most successful teams will then be invited to a residential weekend in November, where they will be asked to simulate all aspects of a real project, from the masterplan and design through to the construction planning. Teams will need to plan, discuss, sketch and cost their work, presenting at every stage.

Entries can be as teams or individuals, as the organisers will be able to assist in forming teams. The deadline for registration of interest is August 14th. TeamBuild is supported by ConstructionSkills and sponsored by CIOB. www.teambuilduk.com
