Shepherd Engineering Services is gunning for glory at the new English Institute for Sport complex in Manchester.
The company has been commissioned to install the m&e services for the XVII Commonwealth Games scheme. The £2 million contract includes the installation of services to a new tennis centre, plus external lighting for an eight-lane outdoor athletics track and 500-person stand.
A York 200·4 kW air-cooled chiller will provide tailor-made environments in the different areas of the building to suit the athletes’ needs.
The Games are due to run from 25 July to 4 August 2002.
