The ECA has introduced a compulsory JIB-recognised health and safety assessment for all operatives applying for new or renewed Electrotechnical Certification Scheme cards.
David Pollock, ECA director, commented: "We believe that customers should be able to feel confident that electrical contractors are competent in health and safety issues and that all work is being carried out to the highest levels of safety."

The Association is running assessments across the country to help ensure that all those wishing to take the test can do so. For details, fax ECA Business Development Training on 01325 482196 or e-mail: bdt@eca.co.uk.
