Approved Quantal Installer Franklin installed this very special conservatory on luxury homes at historic Moor Park near Harrogate.

Based on Queen Victoria's favourite residence, Osborne House on the Isle of Wight, Moor Park has been renovated and new homes built in the grounds to a very high standard by a specialist historic restoration company. The families occupying the three new, well-appointed terraced houses approached Franklin with the idea of installing a single conservatory across the length of all the properties.

The 45 metre long cream lean-to conservatory has a projection of four metres, made possible without the need for a portal frame by using Quantal 'Widespan' glazing bars. All visible parts of the roof were spray baked at Quantal's in-house paint shop facility and then internally clad with 'Natural' real timber internal cladding to match the internal timber finish of Franklin's windows.

Climate control

The roof is glazed with Darby solar control bronze glass. Each unit has four BBA accredited Quantal thermostatically controlled roof vents with integral fly screens. These have been linked through wall mounted control panels to work in conjunction with Siegenia Aeropac air replacement units, to provide an efficient, cost-effective air conditioning system. Under floor heating in each unit ensures an all-weather, high performance building.
