This year’s National Conference, to be held at the Oval in London on 21 and 22 March 2006, will be a cricket-themed extravaganza.
Not only will tours of the famous ground be available but, in an initiative to encourage more young engineers to take advantage of this highly informative event, there will be a ‘team rate’ for attendance. For companies who can field a whole cricket team of 11 people, all delegates will be able to attend for just £250 each (the normal day delegate rate will be £475). Paying delegates in smaller companies can bring a ‘young engineer’ team mate for only £350, while student members of CIBSE can attend the event for only £25 per day.
All young engineers and students are invited to attend a special lunchtime session on career opportunities and, in order to ensure that all those at the conference can participate in the social aspects of the event, there will be a ‘cricketing cocktail celebration’ to which all delegates are invited, instead of a formal dinner.
