McLean leaves after five years at the business
Currie & Brown chairman Angus McLean has resigned from the business, QS News can reveal. McLean is understood to have stepped down from his post last Friday.
A statement from the firm issued today said: "Currie & Brown can confirm that Angus McLean has left and stepped down as Chairman of the organisation. Euan McEwan, chief executive, has assumed full control of the business and will lead Currie & Brown through to the next stage of its development. A new Chairman will be appointed. In the meantime, Erik Ostman is acting as non-executive Chairman."
McLean, a consulting engineer by profession, joined the business in 2001. He took over from Doug Leedham, who left the firm in the summer of 2000. McLean's departure follows an uncertain time for the company staff-wise, having suffered a string of departures in the past year.
