The Home Energy Controller from PRI is being trialled as part of an energy demand reduction project, funded by the government, EDF Energy and other partners, ahead of the government’s target to roll out smart metering to all UK households over the next 10 years.

Featuring a colour touch-screen interface, the unit gives details on gas and electricity consumption, tariffs and payment options.

As a hot water and heating controller, the device correlates and controls heating costs.
