Tender price index

Tender prices increased by 3.0% in 2025, as subdued demand did not translate into cost savings and overall inflation proved more persistent than expected. 

Building cost index ▲

Building costs increased by 3.5% in 2025, with imported items such as wood, aluminium and electric water heaters seeing the largest price increases.

Consumer prices index

Consumer price inflation moderated more than expected to 3.2% in November, down from 3.6% in October. Goods, services and core inflation all declined, signalling a shift in discretionary spending.
