It was a question relating to this word that ended David’s brief run on ITV’s ‘Who Wants to be a Millionaire’ quiz show. David left empty handed despite having lifelines intact, a performance that prompted presenter Chris Tarrant to call him the ‘Numpty of the North’.

Just for the record, the dictionary definition of taciturn is ‘reserved in speech, saying little and uncommunicative’.
