An ambitious £220m scheme to regenerate Hounslow town centre has started on site.
Day & Johnson is the project manager for local developer Blenheim Norwest. The scheme will result in the Blenheim Centre, a 1m sq ft mixed-use area aimed at “kick-starting the social and economic regeneration of Hounslow”, Blenheim said.
The centre will comprise 140,000 sq ft of offices, 290,000 sq ft of retail space, plus affordable homes, a cinema, bars, cafes, and restaurants.
Phase one is under construction and due to open in Autumn 2006. A public consultation is underway for phase two.
The architect is Leslie Jones and the contractor is Norwest Holst. Drivers Jonas is the planning consultant.
