Either we are a freak case, or the picture painted by Brenda Dean (“Sector must drive for diversity in top jobs”, 7 March, page 8) is excessively bleak.
Yes, faster progress is needed – especially in the promotion of black and ethnic minority staff to senior positions – but it’s important to acknowledge that there are some in the sector already moving in the right direction.
