Staff at the headquarters of Dedicated Micros in Swinton, Manchester, supported the work of Shelter by taking part in the charity's 'Strip 4 Shelter' initiative, billed as the UK's largest football fundraising event.

The event was timed to coincide with the England vs Poland World Cup qualifier and saw DM staff encouraged to 'get their kit on' by dressing in red or white in the spirit of the game.

Each employee taking part in the event was asked to donate £2 to the cause, a contribution matched pound for pound by the company. At the end of the day a total of £393.68 had been raised for Shelter, which seeks to improve the lives of the homeless and badly housed people across the UK. In another development, the AD Group, DM's parent company, has been successfully reviewed against the latest version of the Investors in People Standard, which helps organisations improve performance and realise objectives through the management and development of their staff.
