Timberlike Doors has been awarded a prestigious honour by Derby City Council.

At the 5th Annual Housing Investment Conference held at The Riverside Centre, the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister praised Derby Homes, the City Council’s Maintenance & Regeneration arm, for the work carried out in improving council estates in Derby.

The City Council is on course to become the first authority in the country to reach bring its housing stock up to ‘Decent Homes’ standard in 2005 (local authorities have until 2010). In recognition of supplying over 5,000 doors (to date) to an exacting specification and within tight delivery deadlines, Timberlike was named ‘Homes Pride Supplier of the Year 2004’.

Pierre Mifsud, Timberlike Technical Director, accepted the award from Dennis Rees, Chair of Derby Homes.

Vince Mifsud, Timberlike Managing Director, was quick to recognise the part played by all of his staff. ‘We carry out all of the surveys for Derby Homes and then turn all of their doors around within our ‘industry-renowned’ 10-day delivery period’ he says. ‘I am pleased to accept this superb award on behalf of my very dedicated team.’

Cheshire based Timberlike offers 32 different door styles, double doors and stable doors, all within a 10 day turnaround.
