Susan Hill, management consultant for Riding Housing Association, raised £2800 for Learning Partnerships after trekking across the Sahara Desert as part of a 16-person group from 2 to 9 October.
One night, a freak rainstorm forced the group to abandon their camp and find refuge in a village four hours away.
