Developer Gazeley claims it has cut the build time for a new industrial shed by over a half on a new scheme in Spain.

The new 20,000m2 distribution facility at the Magna Park Plaza in Zaragoza was built in 11 weeks using a new concept developed by Gazeley called G. Track.

The client claims the standard industry build time for such a scheme is between 24 and 30 weeks.

The project is part of a roll-out of logistic parks planned by the developer, a subsidiary of supermarket giant Wal-Mart, across Europe.

The client intends to develop 30 parks in France, Belgium, Spain, Germany and Italy.
