CCTV specialist Dedicated Micros has announced the acquisition of Dennard, one of the UK’s leading suppliers of CCTV equipment (including dome cameras), for an undisclosed fee.
Dennard now becomes a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Dedicated Micros Group, enabling the latter to offer a broader systems portfolio to its existing UK client base.

Speaking to SMT about the deal, announced to the media at IFSEC, Dedicated Micros chairman Nigel Petrie said: “The synergy between the two companies is obvious. Our product ranges are complementary and, in many cases, share the same customers. Dedicated Micros is strong in the export market, and we plan to use our global sales relationships to grow Dennard’s business worldwide.”

Petrie was quick to point out that Dedicated Micros will continue to offer the same range of dome protocol support to end users. “We’re not going to try and lock customers into a particular combination of products,” he stated. “Our aim is to create a range of interoperable components.”
