Dedicated Micros has won a prestigious Australian award for its DV-IP Server.
It won ‘Best New Product’ at the Australian Security Industry Association Limited gala awards held at the Security 2005 exhibition in Sydney in September.
The DV-IP Server came out on top following an intensive judging procedure which involved consideration by members of the ASIAL National Executive Council to compile a shortlist, presentations to delegates and hands-on access to products ‘in action’ at the exhibition.
DM’s commercial director Chris Boyce said: “We are delighted to have received this powerful endorsement for the DV-IP Server, particularly as the final selection from the shortlist was down to voting by the actual delegates themselves. Since its launch the DV-IP Server has generated considerable interest in the Australian market and we are now seeing key projects making a positive impact.”
DV-IP Servers are at the heart of an integrated networked CCTV solution for Ipswich Council in southeast Queensland.
The product was has integrated hard disk recording and the ability to use new or existing video over IP-enabled computer networks to deliver a reliable means of recording and distributing video from a site’s cameras. DM says it is the first in its class to deliver local recording of evidential quality JPEG format images, whilst simultaneously streaming video in MPEG-4 format.
