Dome improvements: Developers have agreed the last details of a £4bn project to transform the Greenwich peninsula. Developer Meridian Delta, regeneration agency English Partnerships, Anschutz Entertainment Group and Greenwich council have now signed all the commercial and planning agreements.

The 121 ha scheme comprises 10,000 homes, including 3800 affordable, schools, health centres, transport infrastructure and an entertainment arena. Work is due to start on site in spring 2005.
