Don't forget Metropolitan

As Metropolitan Housing Trust is a major player across the Midlands, I was very surprised we were omitted from the East Midlands feature (30 January, page 24).

We manage more than 3500 properties across the Midlands, have one of the largest development programmes in the East Midlands and have been selected to bid to the Housing Corporation under the partnering arrangements.

Metropolitan believes it is possible to assist the government in its drive for growth, as outlined in the Communities Plan, and to help regenerate deprived areas. The choices are not mutually exclusive but do require a far more innovative approach using cross-subsidy from sales to achieve high-quality regeneration and provide opportunities for intermediate and affordable housing.
