Elderly residents at a sheltered housing development in Dorset are enjoying the benefits of new high performance windows and doors from the Duraflex suite. Bristol-based fabricator and installer, Fastframe Windows, has completed fabrication and installation for the project on behalf of Hanover Property Management. It was part of the refurbishment of bungalows and apartments at Victoria Place in Wimborne Minster (pictured top).
The £51,500 contract involved replacing timber windows with a low maintenance, thermally efficient PVC-U system in 25 properties built during the 1970’s.
Fastframe has supplied a total of 105 casement windows for the project.
Meanwhile, in Glasgow, Cumbernauld-based Duraflex fabricator Window Vision have been busy providing PVC-U windows, French and Residential doors in a £170,000 contract for the Lyoncross new-build project (see lower picture). The Duraflex windows were specified for the project for aesthetic reasons and for their compliance to Part J Scottish Building regulations.
