Belfast QS company Durnien.com is expanding with a second office, a recruitment drive and plans to double last year's profit
The up and coming firm now employs 16 people after recruiting three senior staff in recent weeks. Among them is Gerard Doherty. He has been brought in to run the firm's new office in Derry, which Durnien opened in December.
Two further senior appointments are imminent, while three existing staff members have been promoted to associate director - Victoria Murray, Andrea Forsythe and Mark Ingram.
The firm's founder Paul Durnien said he wanted to double last year's £100,000 profit this year. He is targeting a turnover of £800,000 for 2006, compared to the £400,000 achieved for 2004/5.
He said that 80% of the firm's work was repeat business. Durnien's current projects include a £28m mixed-use development in Belfast.
Durnien was set up in 1999 and was nominated for the best newcomer award in last year's inaugural QS Awards, hosted by QS News.
