It is now more than six years since Bottero, the large Italian glass machinery manufacturer, set up its own direct sales and support company in the UK.
Bottero UK has seen steady growth throughout that period and its workforce has increased from the original four to the current 14, evenly split between the sales and service department.
Bottero UK has just installed one of its popular 352BCS shape cutting tables at Southport Glass; fitted with the brand new Easy-Deletion system (pictured) for edge stripping soft-coated glass.
The unit is aimed at companies that produce soft-coated units. It is able to delete both straight lines and shapes. The deletion option costs around the same as a stand-alone manual deletion table, but with far greater flexibility.
UK directors Darren Broxton and Phil Beddows explained the concept of the new device. ‘Edge deletion is very much a reality nowadays. Companies wishing to delete medium volumes of coated glass had previously a single option, namely a stand-alone manual deletion table.
‘The Easy Deletion option on our 352 not only performs the task much faster than the manual systems, but is also able to delete shaped glasses and requires no extra handling. This is always a benefit with soft coated glass. The less handling, the lower the risk of producing rejects.’
