The ECA is working with the Worshipful Company of Lightmongers to fund a new award for the lighting industry.
The prize will be presented annually to the best student undertaking the Lighting Education Trust Diploma in Lighting, the cd-rom based distance learning course offered by South Bank University.
This latest award is part of the Worshipful Company of Lightmonger's drive to encourage invention and imagination in the design and use of light. It joins a raft of prizes already presented in conjunction with various educational establishments and industry bodies including: The Bartlett School of Architecture, South Bank University, University of Manchester Institute of Science & Technology and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
Also new in 2002 is the Moss Electrical funded bursary for a student on the LET course.
