Association forms partnership with Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters

The Electrical Contractors’ Association (ECA) and the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters (CILA) have signed an agreement to become “Partners in Building Services Excellence.”

The partnership follows several months of discussions regarding ways in which both organisations can work together to influence policy makers in government, drive industry standards and deliver enhanced benefits to their members.

Graham Cave, executive director of the CILA, said: “Loss adjusting is a collaborative enterprise, so I’m delighted we have reached this agreement with the ECA. This opportunity provides a fantastic forum in which to share best practice and exchange advice and ideas. Being able to access the expertise of the electrical contracting community will also be of particularly great value to our members.”

By becoming partners, both parties commit to work together to develop and promote excellence in building services engineering standards, while sharing access to member benefits and services.

ECA chief executive officer David Pollock said: “In a rapidly changing marketplace, it is essential that we form strong alliances with other prestigious industry bodies with similar aims and objectives to our own. We welcome the opportunity offered by this partnership with the CILA to promote our members’ mutual interests, and to share valuable services.”
