Alice Delahunty, aged 26, from Nottingham, has won the 2007 Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) Young Woman Engineer of the Year Award.

Alice works for power supplier E.on as an electrical engineering programme co-ordinator.

As well as working for E.on, Alice also helps support engineering students at Loughborough University.

Alice was presented with her award by scientist and TV celebrity Dr Maggie Aderin.
