Essex electrician Michael John Moore has been banned from acting as a company director for five years and sentenced to 80 hours community service following a DTI prosecution.
Moore, director of James Electrical, failed to provide company accounts and paperwork despite repeated requests following voluntary liquidation in 2002. The company went bankrupt owing its creditors around £90 000.
Moore was found guilty of offences under sections 221 of the Companies Act 1985 and 235 of the Insolvency Act 1986. He was also ordered to pay £2469.47 costs to the DTI.
