Voltimum, the pan-European web portal for the electrical installation sector, has gone live in the UK.
The site includes a searchable catalogue of leading electrical product suppliers, links with electrical wholesale distributors and the latest industry news and events.

Of these, the products section is seen by Voltimum's creators as the most important and likely to be most often used. From here, users will be able to browse through a list of manufacturers' product information, before choosing equipment and obtaining prices. Products can then be ordered from electrical wholesalers.

MEM and Bill Switchgear, now part of Eaton Electric, are the latest names to join the portal.

To gain full access to information users must register, which is free for the first three months.
