Managers at a central monitoring station employing ADPRO Fast Scan transmission technology from Vision Fire & Security have signed up their 250th site – a mere five years after the company was first launched.
Midlands-based Cougar Monitoring (visited earlier this year by then Home Secretary Jack Straw, pictured left) is run by four directors including joint managing director Michael Holder. The central station protects sites throughout the UK, including freight terminals, vehicle showrooms, office complexes and factories.
By using Fast Scan III transmission technology connected on two ISDN lines, members of Cougar's security team can accommodate a typical alarm count of between 27,000 and 38,000 every 24 hours.
