Fenzi has purchased the Akzo Nobel business unit dealing with paints for coating mirrors via heads of agreement already signed by Alessandro Fenzi and Rinus Rooseboom.
The Akzo Nobel production facility, specialised in corrosion prevention coatings for protecting the reflective film of mirrors, is located in Vilvoorde in Belgium and covers a surface area of approximately 40,000 sq. m. Equipped with highly automated systems, it ensures levels of production with the highest quality standards.
Alessandro Fenzi, Fenzi Group CEO, commenting on the agreement, pointed out that ‘The takeover of the Akzo Nobel unit for mirror backing paints further strengthens Fenzi’s top-ranking status in this market area, one where it has played a key part for over 60 years.’
The facility purchased by Fenzi is also strategically placed for ensuring deliveries via the best system and in the shortest time to all the main European producers on the market and, thanks to this location, can in the short term become the hub for distribution in Europe of all the other Fenzi products.
