The number of places offering Best Practice advice confuses me. Where should I start?
Much ‘best practice’ information is generic, so it is not surprising that the number of places offering help is high. Building Services Best Practice operates with Construction Best Practice in partnership with the five main trade bodies CIBSE, BSRIA, ECA, FETA and HVCA, and is targeted specifically at the Building Services supply chain, from Client, Consultant, Main Contractor right through to Specialist Contractors, Distributors and Manufacturers.

And because the volume of information – in the form of publications; toolkits; conferences, seminars, workshops, best practice clubs, special interest groups, accreditation schemes – is so vast, Building Services Best Practice has created an ongoing signposting service, through web site (www.bsbpp.org.uk) or telephone helpline: 0845 606 57 04 to help you with the selection of tools or activities most appropriate to your needs.

Whilst not condoning the re-invention of the wheel (not best practice!), BSBP does, where appropriate produce its own materials and participate in events – Building Services Journal’s recent ‘Secrets of Success’ conference being just one example – and will continue to do so. Details of all events relevant to the Building Services sector are kept on the web site.
