The Security Systems and Alarms Inspection Board (SSAIB) has added a new fire detection and alarm systems certification scheme to its portfolio – the Fire Protection Industry Modular Scheme SP203 developed by the British Approvals for Fire Equipment (BAFE).

The scheme is designed to enable the third party certification of operatives involved in the design, installation, commissioning, handover and ongoing maintenance of fire detection and alarm systems.

SSAIB has been accredited by UKAS to include the new scheme within its scope of accreditation.
