Tavcom has awarded the security industry's first BTEC Level 3 Integrated Systems Diploma to Protection Security Systems founder Jonathon Myers at a ceremony supported by representatives of the Edexcel Foundation.


Tavcom says the new qualification is "the most comprehensive available to security systems personnel, and the first of its kind to be offered anywhere in the world. Encompassing the essential disciplines of CCTV, Access Control, Intruder Alarms and IP, its unique 'mix and match' curriculum is adaptable to the very different needs of engineers, designers and planners". Study areas range from perimeter security to covert CCTV.
