First Security (Guards) Ltd, which recently won SMT's Security Excellence Award for Best Guarding Company of the Year, has announced yet more deals indicating its strength in London.
Banking giant HSBC has given First Security a new contract to protect its eight storey building at Monument in the City and, following a competitive tender, re-awarded a contract to continue protecting the firm's management training college at Bricket Wood, near Watford. First Security also provides HSBC with protection at 13 other sites across the capital.

First Security now covers 260 individual client contracts in London, and has a reported turnover of £34 million.

Rapid growth since the management buyout led by md Jonathan Levine three years ago has sparked debate that the company may be up for sale. However, a spokesperson told SMT there's no truth in the rumours.
