As part of its ongoing commitment to service end user requirements, First Security (Guards) is launching a new mobile patrol and keyholding service – thereby tapping into a UK market that's worth in excess of £90 million.
In practice, the new division will deliver a 'traditional' mobile and keyholding service, looking after unmanned buildings out-of-hours. There'll be regular external and internal patrols by dedicated security officers, and fast response to alarms as and when necessary.

The company has made two new appointments to cover the service, with John Harding taking over its day-to-day operational management and Phil Harding looking after end user interests.

Speaking exclusively to SMT about the move, Jonathan Levine – First Security's managing director – said: "Although the provision of a mobile and keyholding service is not new to us, this is the first time that we've organised the operation as a separate business. We see a considerable market potential here, and we'll be aiming to double the size of the business in its first year of operation."
